Thanks for the link---excellent. I try not to echo all the same old stuff, but write about things not usually covered. Mostly on the environment, but a bit on the election too. Next week I'll post "Understanding MAGA" written in response to friends who say they just can't understand it. You can understand without agreeing and without vilifying. That's what my piece will do. Thanks for commenting – I will look for your article on MAGA. I agree with you about “without agreeing and without vilifying.” I have friends who support Trump and others who are far-left progressives – they are good people, and well-educated, they just have very different views about politics.
My approach is that we as Americans need to try to hold together around our larger common values and interests leading into and after this election. I oppose Trump vociferously, but I am no political fan of the far-left of the Democratic Party either. Hopefully we can get past this election and take some new more creative approaches to our national problems.
I looked at some of your posts. Thank you and keep doing what you’re doing. We all need to take steps to save our planet environmentally, and I like your approach that we also need to take a deep breath, relax and nurture ourselves as well. I look forward to what you will post in the future.
One thing I hope you will call to the attention of your readers is the need to vote a FULL ballot, and if they split their tickets is the necessity to vote strategically for some lower level offices in order to prevent a post-election “electoral coup.” One dimension of “We Are All the Media Now” is to activate regular people to spread the message in regarding what MAGA is doing under the surface to provoke a “contingent election” through control of these lower level offices. Keep up the good work—-I agree there are some very dark things happening, although I don’t focus on those things in my newsletter. I decided to delay publishing my MAGA piece, as the timing wasn’t right. Wrote something on the election instead…
