As the United States becomes ungovernable, the “more chilling warnings” alluded to in Part 1 begin to ominously transpire. Donald Trump tries to control a nation spiraling into violence and towards civil war. How the country would have responded to martial law and Trump’s attempt to legitimize his presidency by calling for a rerun of the election will evolve as a young journalist’s life gets caught up with those of the political activists he encounters in a whirlwind of phenomena he’s not sure is even real let alone able to be changed.
Part 2 of The War After the Election will identify the three main objectives on which we as a nation must immediately be laser-focused in order to prevent these events from materializing. It will be asserted in Part 2 and elsewhere that Donald Trump is not the main issue before us – and critically why we as a nation don’t have much time left to redress the problem of excessive presidential power and the issues surrounding it.
